Trip Highlights: Philippines
Photos from my trip to the Philippines, May 2023
Welcome to the Philippines!
If you thought you’d see the nice beaches or the natural beauty of the country - you’re wrong. Upon landing, we were welcomed by the warm, humid climate and the traffic of Manila. City streets were filled with motor cycles and “Jeepney” busses.
The Road to Lucban
Depending on traffic, getting to Lucban requires a car and a lot of patience. For us, it took us over 4 hours to arrive.
The City of Lucban
More of a provincial region of the Philippines, you are taken away from the hustle of Manila and have a more small town, historical feel in this city.

The Church of Lucban
The first church, built in 1595, was ruined in 1629. The second church was constructed between 1630 and 1640, but was seriously damaged by fire in 1733. The present church was completed in 1738 and the convent in 1743.
